Need a new manicurist...

Ok, I am crazy and well aware of it, but I am the PICKIEST person when it comes to manicures. I know it's only $8, but I don't think it's to much to ask for my nails to be evenly filed and for both coats of polish to cover my entire nail. That being said.. I need a new manicurist. Everytime I find someone I love, they end up leaving... must be me..lol

I can go anywhere really... preferably Oceanside/Rockville Centre area, but for someone great I'd def travel. Any recomendations?

Right now I go to Capri in Oceanside but I hate it! I only go because I know the people there and it's clean...

I've tried every nail place in RVC I think...for the past 2 years I've been going to Roman Nails on Long Beach Road by Carvel. Everyone there is really good (except Nicole the owner but she only does them if its really busy).

Go to Crystal Nails on Mott....right behind the Gap. They do a great job.

Re: Need a new manicurist...

I can recommend my place, but it is in Cedarhurst, more than $8 (I think it is $12 for a reg manicure), and you must make an appointment. 100% worth it IMO and I have been going there religiously for almost 10 years until I recently move to NJ.

FM if you want details.

Re: Need a new manicurist...

I go to Capri too and at first was very happy with everything, but last time they used a top coat on my nails that made the pale pink polish turn orange! I'm sure it was just a bad bottle and could happen anywhere, but that sort of soured me to them.

The past few pedicures haven't been great either.

Maybe I'll try some of the suggestions you got too!
