Well, we attained a real estate agent in the area in which we decided to find a home. The agent we chose we made sure we clicked with her and she had our best interest in mind. She is with Remax which is one of the larger companies which also made us more comfortable.

As for putting an offer on a home, we are buying a new home, so I am not sure how it works with a resale, but I know you have to but a bid in against what the going price is and the other homes in the area are going for.

Today I just went for my first walk through to see what needs to be fixed, and saturday the inspector will come and check the house out and see what else needs to fixed or not. the second walk through will happen next tuesday and closing is next thursday. Mind you, I live in georgia, so things move quickly here. We only went for the mortgage 2 weeks ago thursday!

Hear that your offer was accepted (sometimes after some going back and forth)

Inspector Comes to House

Make a list of things that need to be fixed from Inspectors visit... give list to attorney/real estate agent or seller

Go to Contract
(buyer signs contract first, then seller)

Find a Morgage

Wait for a closing date

Close on the house

Move in!!
