i need a vacation!!! any recs?
can anyone reccommend a caribbean vacation? looking for a reasonable trip, with nice weather in february. thanks in advance for any ideas

You could do an all-inclusive in Haiti/DR, apparently they are great deals because they are trying to develop their tourist trade.
I've never been, but keep hearing about it.

We went to Mexico (cancun) last april and LOVED IT!
The beaches, snorkling, sun, drinks, relaxing....was great!
We could not get a nonstop (booked about a month prior), so I am not sure of the total duration. Not bad at all though!

I;ve never been - but happened to be looking for deals, and all-inclusives in St Lucia came up
might be worth a look
plus I think they just started non-stop flights from NY

you guys are such a good looking couple!!!! how was the weather in feb? PR is on our possible list.. how are the beaches? the flights, so far, are so expensive... we are searching though

I think Jet Blue goes to PR now from JFK...
We went to PR for a long weekend a few years ago and had a great time! The beach itself isn't that great, but the nightlife is awesome and Old San Juan is great too!
If you are really looking for a nice beach, I would look to Mexico or the Dominican Republic!
Good luck!!!
PS - our flights to Costa Rica were only $250 pp round trip!

Both placed are awesome!

Mayan Riviera, Jamaica or DR are all nice and affordable. They're also all about a 3-4 hour flight.

Thanks! It was hot when we were there in Feb... it rained on and off the first day and 1/2, but the last 3 days were really sunny and hot.
We flew Jetblue and they weren't that expensive... we did go during presidents week so they were a little higher than normal, but not too bad.
The beach that our hotel was on was really nice, but we actually layed by the pool most days.

lots of nice places in Punta Cana, DR
PR- i stayed at a Hyatt in Cerromar beach... it was gorgeous!
Belize (there's a resort called Maruba Jungle spa- its a boutique resort.... i've never been there, but want to go there so badly!!).. the only PITA w/it is that its a longer (and more $$$) flight than i want.
have you thought about a cruise at all? we enjoy them alot, and you can find some good deals, too.
