Repost from NF: Fundraising
Has anyone on here ever done fundraising? I was considering making a design up honoring my MIL and my favorite teacher of all time who are both breast cancer survivors. I wanted to sell the designs on a few select items, as well as some other "pink" based designs and donate the profits to a breast cancer society- either LI based or a national society. I had thought about approaching some businesses as I don't know nearly enough people to make this profitable, but wanted to get your tips/advice before I go thru all the work involved and then find a red flag somewhere. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I also don't have the funds to chair an event or the space to do an event in my home so I thought the flyers with order forms might be the best way to go- and then have a day dedicated to each area to bring that areas orders and have them pick them up from me say at a school or wheverever that's centrally located for them. TIA!!!

Maybe you could do a Girls Night Out and get a bunch of vendors to sell their stuff - Pocketbooks, crafts, jewlery. You could maybe rent a VW hall or something like that or if the teacher that you like is still at the school maybe they would make the gym available to you. Each vendor would pay for a table and part of that you could donate to Breast Cancer Research.
