Curly hair question

if you let it be curly and put product in it, when do you do it?

In the shower?

Towel dry for 5 minutes?

Towel dry for 15 minutes?

Towel dry for close to an hour?

And what do you use?
Gel, mousse, cream, spray conditioner?

Re: Curly hair question

I use gel -- creams and especially mousse don't work with my hair. I put it in right after I get out of the shower because if I towel dry too much my hair gets frizzy. Oh, the joys of curly hair! Chat Icon

Re: Curly hair question

I towel dry my hair, then use a curl spray gel, or regular curl gel. Then hair spray, and let it dry after that.

Re: Curly hair question

I don't really towel dry, I just wrap my hair in a microdiber towel to get the wetness out. Then serum, then a glossing cream or styling cream. Usually dry the pieces in front and style them and let the rest air dry.

Re: Curly hair question

i wrap my hair in a towel first but i dont towel dry (causes frizz) comb my hair and then use serum and treseme (dont know how to spell) mousse for curly hair. i usually take my showers at night so i then put my hair in bun.. today my hair looks good but there are days my hair looks a bit nutty.. having curly hair is a blessing but also a nightmare and sometimes it all depends on the weather.

Re: Curly hair question

I actually re-wet my hair before I put any products in it. It doesn't seem to come out too great if my hair isn't very wet when I put anything in it.
Then I comb it out, put in some leave-in conditioner, then Curls Rock style creme. I scrunch it, let it air dry for about 10 minutes, then dry it the rest of the way with a hair dryer and diffuser.

Re: Curly hair question

Towel dry while I put on moisturizer, dry off, deodarant, etc. Then I put the product in. If I let it dry too much before putting the product in, then there is no going back and it dries funny.

Re: Curly hair question

I never completely rinse out the conditioner (enough not to leave white clumps of it in your hair), then I towel dry lightly, and mix my gel with frizz serum and a dab of leave in conditioner and scrunch that into my hair, and rub it into my roots. Then blowdry with my head upside down, and finish with non sticky hairspray ( a tad). Never put more gel i n after you started blowdrying your hair....baddd idea! lol

Re: Curly hair question

I towel dry it while getting ready. Then I use curl spray gel and scrunch my hair or shake my hair with my hands and lightly curl it because it gets really curly. I noticed the wetter the better it is to work with the hair
