Healthy overeating
I was just wondering if anyone had a solution to a problem I'm having....I've done weight watchers over a year ago and lost 30 lbs...I've managed to hit a plateau in which I've been the same exact weight for almost 8 months. I don't have a problem with eating heatlhy, in fact, almost everything I eat is considered healthy BUT I've been eating it in excessive quantities. A granola bar with 90 calories isn't as healthy when you eat 5 a day (along with regular meals) I feel ever since I started this healthy eating, I need to be chewing on something all the time. I'm not even hungry most of the time, but NEED to have something sweet. Anyone having similiar problems?

Sort of. I hear what you're saying. I have gotten so used to eating basically every hour of the day that I have been finding myself always hungry!
I recently just switched up my eating habits and I think it's helped. Instead of eating whenever I'm hungry, I'm trying to space out 6 small meals every 2-3 hours. These small meals are bigger than the "snacks" I've been having. So instead of having a yogurt 1 hour and then an apple and hour later, I'm eating them both at the same time.
IMO I would cut out the granola bars. I have a horrible sweet tooth as well and I feel that only fueled the addiction. Right now I am trying to just eat fruits for my sweets.
Good luck!!!

Re: Healthy overeating
Maybe try sugar free gum? I agree, cut out the granola, or bring it down to 1 bar a day.

I agree with this. When I was eating smaller meals every 2 1/2 hours or so, it was easier to stick to it. For me, it took a lot less will power to resist something if I knew I was going to eat again in a few hours.
Also, if you need something to munch on, veggies are best. And carrots are sweet(-ish) or so I keep telling myself!

Re: Healthy overeating
The whole 'eating every 2 1/2 hours' is what started this...I was ok before I started forcing myself to eat in these intervals which is why I think Im always hungry now...maybe my metabolism sped up? It's ridiculous, I had a Fiber one bar @ 8:30am, and I already want another snack

Re: Healthy overeating
I eat all day and find that if you can get some protien/fiber in those snacks you may go longer in between?

Exactly. I'm taking a total body shaping class and they want us to eat 6 small meals a day. In those 6 small meals, you must include 1 "good" protein (chicken, turkey, low fat cottage cheese, peanut butter, egg whites) and 1 "good" carb (apples, banana, yogurt ets). I find having the protein with my "carb" really helps keep the hunger away.
Also two of those 6 meals are supplemented with a serving of vegetable (basically any 0pt ww veggie).
So here is an example of what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast - 7AM 3 egg whites 1 cup grapes Snack - 9:30AM Babybel Light Cheese 5oz. baby carrots Lunch - Noon 3 oz lean Pork Chop 1 cup Snap Peas 1 large baked potato Snack - 2:30PM 1 cup grapes 2 Tbsp Trader Joes Natural Peanut Butter Dinner - 5PM 1 slice country wheat bread 3oz lean turkey breast Snack - 8:30PM 100% Whey Protein Shake 1 cup Skim Milk
Just try switching up your eating habits, ditch the granola and add more protein!

Re: Healthy overeating
I went that way with Fiber One Bars. I solved the problem by leaving them at home & bringing one to work a day.
