yes, but IMO it wasn't really necessary. they just did an internal exam, bloodwork, and medical history. no sonogram at my 1st appointment. It was still nice to have him there though.

ETA: It really is pretty funny the first time your DH accompanies you into an OB visit. Most likely they've never seen you up in the stirrups getting in internal, I know my DH was so uncomfortable, he didnt know what to do with himself, where to stand, etc. Its very funny when I think about it.

No. All the doc did was draw blood and switch my prenatals.

Yes. Although some may say it wasn't necessary, this is our first, so he was there for support. But if you are fine with going alone, I say it's cool. There's nothing for him to do anyway.

no DH didn't come. They only did bloodwork and history. He came to all the rest.

For my first, NO, because I didn't know I was pregnant! Found out in teh docs office right before he wrote me a Rx for Provera and Clomid because I wasn't getting my period!
The secnd pregnancy, the doc didn't want to see me until I was about 9 weeks along, and YES, DH and my son Andrew came to that appt.

Yes! I was 5.5 weeks at that time and they did a sono. We got to see a very faint heartbeat! I'm so glad he was there for that!

For Sarah he did.
With this baby, I couldn't get a Saturday appt so I went with Sarah. I was 7.5 weeks. He'll be at the next one, when we have the sonogram.
