any nurses out there out east!
Does anyone know of nursing jobs out EAST THAT WILL START minimum 32/hr......i live in medford.......everywher i go the starting hourly rate is low...too low 4 me! help!!!

Are you an RN? If so, try Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. I am pretty sure they start at $31-$32 per hour.

I'm an RN and i have my bachelor's degree from molloy......... right now i work in a chemical dependency unit(detox/rehab).

lol RN. i'm originally from nassau county and it seems to me like nassau has a higher rate than suffolk county!

If you are married and have health insurance through your husband, I would look into working agency where the rates are much higher. You can even stay on agency at the same place, so you don't necessarily have to move around to diff hospitals. Would you feel comfortable working a different unit than you do now? I don't know how many detox units there are left nowadays, since a lot of hospitals got rid of them, but if you have a med/surg or another specialty background it will be much easier. HTH!
