separate rooms
Do your twins have their own separate room? DH and I are doing the two nurseries and just ordered two sets of furniture. We have the room, so why not give them their own room. They are two different babies. I will keep them together the first 4-6 months, though, because I've read studies that say they do better that way.
But now my DH has read that lots of people put two cribs in one room. The rooms we have are fine for one, but cramped with 2 cribs and unless we get bunkbeds, no way would two beds fit in there.
I want them to have separate rooms and identities (they are fraternal so they may be as different as day and night anyway). Am I doing the wrong thing by separating them? I really hope I have a girl/boy so then all this is a non-issue.

DDs shared the same crib for 4 months. I separated them but kept them in the same room, and now they "talk" and scream at each other across the room.
I like that they interact with each other - it keeps them occupied too if I can't get to them right away in the morning or after a nap. I also put them in the same crib to play together - they have a blast when they are together and make each other laugh.

I have boy/girl twins that have shared a room from day one.
They have gotten so used to having each other that I just can't seperate them yet.
We even moved to a bigger house where the option is there to have seperate rooms, but I couldn't do it.
I'll probably keep them like this until they are around 4 or so.

B/G twins here as well. I was wondering what the other B/G twin mommies were doing.
I wanted to keep them in the same room as long as they are in diapers... will make things so much easier but then again, how long is too long if there is such a thing.
I figured when they outgrew the nursery and were moving onto their "big girl", "big boy" bedroom sets (we didn't buy a nursery set, just two cribs and used two old oak dressers that matched) we'd make a big deal about redoing their room, their new furniture and their big girl/boy bed and they would want to separate. That's what my parent's did with me but then again my brother had come along.
I guess we'll play it by ear but it is easier keeping them in the same room, plus, we keep our guest BR.

Our B/G are in the same room at 13 months but we are talking about separating them soon. DH really wants it more than I do. I like having them share a room.

I have b/g twins, they are 2 1/2 and they are still in the same room and I plan to keep them together for as long as I can.

I have twin boys and dont plan on putting them in separate rooms for a long time.
Right now they LOVE sharing a room, and sometimes will NOT nap if the other one is NOT in their crib.
