Re: Please share with me.....
I've just started Body For Life - I did it once before and got really amazing results.
You have to go to the gym 6 times a week, but it's only for 20-45 mins. You do cardio 3x a week and alternate upper body and lower body weight training the other three days, so some weeks you're doing your upper body twice and your lower once and vice versa.
It's not easy and it takes a lot of planning and discipline, but it really, really works. FM me if you want details.

Re: Please share with me.....
I have probably posted this a few times before but this is what I do.
Yoga - 2x a week for 1.5 hours (new and love it)
Run - Im not in training for another month but for now I run 3 times a week. 2x for 45-50 minutes and 1x for 1 hour. I also do most of this outdoors and alternate between speed workouts and hill workouts....but I can use the mill if I have to.
Spin Class - 1x a week for 1 hour
Cross train - bike 20 minutes / elliptical 20 minutes / Stair climber or run 20 minutes
Weight train - 2 days upper body and core and 2 days lower body and core
This plan changes slighlty by week because I only workout 5 days a week...days I do yoga I will sometimes hit the gym earlier and double up...sometimes not.

Re: Please share with me.....
You probably don't want to do what I'm doing, but like Farah said, programs like Body for Life are what really work. The workouts aren't long but they are challenging, and that's why they work! Body for Life is fairly easy to follow and he also has a cookbook called Eating for Life (I have it and like it). The recipes are very easy.
Basically though, anything that involves weight lifting in a lower rep range plus interval training for cardio at least 4 times a week, combined with a healthy diet, will give you results.

Re: Please share with me.....
There's a good place called Personal Training Institute (there is one in Huntington and several locs on LI) that I went to for a month to kickstart my routine. Its one on one training 2-3x week then you do cardio on your own. The nice thing is that nutrition counseling is included and the fact is that 80% of weight loss is what you put into your mouth. I got a lot out of it and list 2 inches in my waist in just 4 weeks. The trainers and program is not intimidating at all and they seem to have college students through seniors as clients. Good luck!
