Are massages okay?
Before getting pregnant, I was hinting to DH about a package at Nordstrom - a day of beauty type of thing...is this okay while pregnant? I HOPE SO, I was sooooo looking forward to this. I should be about 4 months or so in January....

Re: Are massages okay?
Yes, massages are wonderful to get while you're pregnant. Just MAKE SURE the therapist that works on you is certified in Prenatal massage. (Call ahead if you have to). Enjoy!
PS- Massages are enjoyed best after the first trimester.

Re: Are massages okay?
I had a pre-natal massage at 28 weeks and it was lovely!!! I would have done it every week if I had the money to!!! There are a lot of places that specialize in pre-natal massages so I'd recommend going somewhere that does.

Re: Are massages okay?
I had about 10 during my pregnancy so yes, they are fine as long as the therapist knows you are pregnant.

Re: Are massages okay?
just make sure they know your pg, they specialize in prenatal massage, for example they have special tables, pillows, they know what oils to use and not to, etc, i can't wait to go get one!!

LOL! Yeah, I'm 35+ weeks, my body just can't do it anymore. I'll be up & running again after the baby is born though.

Sorry, I don't know any certified therapists in Suffolk, but I can recommend two LMT's in Woodbury if you're interested.
