Disney on a budget????????

Does anyone know of any way to do Disney on a budget????It does not really matter when we go.But it would be easier if we stayed on disney grounds.
My son was just 4 and i thought it would be a great age to begin the disney vacation tradition.I can still remember my first trip at 3 Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon .

Go during their value/lower priced season.

Stay at a value resort.

Don't get park hopper tickets - do one park per day.

Have breakfast and snacks in the room - you can bring them to the park with you.

Limit meals to mostly counter service or grab & go type things.

Use Magical express to get to and from the airport - it's a complimentary shuttle service Disney is providing.

Check out www.disneyworld.com/affordable

They have a lot of good packaes especially if you go in the off season. Look on the site for "the wonderful weeks of Disney" those are times when you can get an inexpensive package.

If you're looking to save on the hotel room, then it sometimes works well for one person to get an annual pass, so you can take advantage of the Annual Passholder discounts on room (usually very good especially in the off-season).

We've previously gone in January and gotten rooms for VERY cheap (around $50 for an all star with the AP discount).
And it's a great time to go because the weather is cool and the parks are EMPTY!

Your park tickets will basically stay the same price although now they are advertising certian packages with free ticket upgrades, so the most expensive poriton is going to be the hotel. They have a lot of great deals in the off season and as I mentioned, the AP discount can save you a lot of money.
