Bra Help - PLEASE

I've had this dilemma for years and I'm at my breaking point. I am a high school teacher and am fairly thin with a D-cup chest, and the high school boys stare at my chest all day long. Whatever. They're 14 year old boys. But now that it's cold out, um, I'm super paranoid about "show through" - I don't want to give them more to look at! I need a bra with some padding so there's no show-through, but can NOT wear a padded bra and look even bigger than I am now.

VS Ipex bras are pretty good, but not totally without show-through.

I'll pay anything. I'll go anywhere. Help!

Re: Bra Help - PLEASE

Check out Wacoal. They might have a few "lined" options w/o padding.

Some of the Chantelle bras are not padded but have a thick material that doesnt allow show through.

I think barenecessities.com sells them and Nordstrom online has a good selection. Good luck!

I'm a 36DDD and love my Chantelle, it's thicker, but not padded and really holds up.

Dava... check out the Gap... you'd be surprised... they carry "full support" bras that are padded and I love 'em!

Re: Bra Help - PLEASE

when i was a D cup i used to LOVE gilligan & o'malley bras from target - they are thinly padded and definitely stop any "show-thru" they are also relatively inexpensive, which is great! GL!

Re: Bra Help - PLEASE

Have you ever been to bra tenders in the city? I went there for my wedding to get fit for a bra and I got the est bra ever from there. I can't tell you the brand because I am wearing it, but it is amazing. Perfect lift with a little padding but not enough to actually add to my overall size. So comfortable.

some of my bras have that "moulded cup" or padding, not sure what the name of that style really is. but it shows nothing through any of my clothing. I wear Vanity Fair or Warner's bras

Re: Bra Help - PLEASE

I can relate to you!!!!!
I am a 36dd and i am so paranoid about showing through.I recieved a bra fitting at nordstroms after i saw an oprah show. That for me was life changing.I am now wearing the perfect bras for my size and shape.I voiced my concerns about showing through and was given slightly padded bras by Chantelle. These bras are the best would not wear any others, i swear by them.Hope this help!

dava - I'm a D and get my bras - fully lined, but not grandma style - from Target (!).

Try the Gilliam O'Malley bras (I think thats the brand). They're only like $10-18 each and they are great for keeping the puppies in! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I love Maidenform bras. They don't have a lot of padding and they give good support. You can get them at Kohls..usually on sale.
