hair relaxing
I got my hair japanese straightened in May. I havent done anything with it since and was in desperate need of a haircut as on top of my head was getting so kinky from the curl growing back in. I went to a salon near my house and got a cut and the hair dresser recommended that I get a relaxation treatment now and wait another 6 months or so to get it straightened again. Has anyone had this done?

Re: hair relaxing
Personally, I wouldn't mix the chemicals...
I get my japanese done every 5-6 months.

Re: hair relaxing
I get my hair relaxed (I've done it for 15 years) and I was told I could not do the Japanese straightening so I'm not sure if it works the other way around too.

Re: hair relaxing
Too much chemical on your hair...I would be afraid. When I switched from relaxing to JHS I had to get the ingredients of the product the salon was using to make sure it would be ok with JHS chemicals.

Re: hair relaxing
I know you can't mix certain relaxers with JHS- something with lye I think
your hair can fall out
