Re: When should I bake an apple pie?

I'm debating the same thing with my pecan pie.... granted pecan pies are less delicate than apple, but none the less...

I guess for me the answer is 'well, when are you leaving home on turkey day?' we're leaving at about 130, so I think I can bake my pie at 830AM, and still be fine for transport.....

Re: When should I bake an apple pie?

I do my pies, apps, and broc cheese cass the night before. You can bake the pie and cass the day of but I just reheat them to make warm the day of. If you put the pie in the oven at 200 during dinner by dessert it's warmed through and ready.
