I feel like December

is just not a month to do regular work in.

I'm planning my month and man, there is so much to cover ON TOP of the regular curriculum. Is it bad if I cheat a bit and do the fun stuff more?

I agree, I say do the fun stuff, they are only little once , let's let them be kids!

I always do a Jan Brett author study in December which they love and we end the study by reading The Gngerbread Baby and having a Gingerbread House Making Party. They love it! Pure fun while meeting literacy standards, what could be better!
