So...it's been a hell of a year....
needless to say I'm looking forward to a much happier & healthier 2008.
My Brother passed away very suddenly & tragically. We found out July 4th. He left behind two AMAZING children....and several headaches.
About a month later my Grammie fell - she lived w/us & my DH & I took care of her.
Very long story short - several hospital, rehabilitation & nursing home trips...even trips to Medicaid, etc. My Grammie passed away on Nov. 11th....10 short days after her 95th birthday.
My Grammie was my everything, especially after my Mom passed away in 2001.
At this point I find myself very numb...to the good & the bad. I know life goes on, but more & more I feel like those around me are just disappearing. There are times I feel so lonely. I have an incredible, supportive, loving Husband that God blessed me with, but there are times I feel like all those that lived with me as a child are gone. I feel like a part of me is gone too. Now all I have left is my Dad...and honestly...we never had a good relationship.
It's all just so insane. I know these feelings will soon pass, but right now it's just unbearable.

i;m so sorry to hear about your last few months i lost my grandmother this time last yr. just take it one day at a time. remember all the good times.
how is your brother's family doing?

i am so sorry. I also lost my Mom and then my dad's Mom, my Grandmother , and also was not close to my Dad. We did get closer as time went on. Feel free to FM mail me. I am so sorry you are going thru this.

I hope 2008 is better year for you!
My Grandma(who was my best friend) passed away ten years ago this April, I miss her everyday & wish she was here to give me advice. She is here though in a different way, she's in my house all the time.
I'm so sorry about your brother too, how are his children doing?
Spring is coming & you'll be able to enjoy your beautiful new yard. I love looking at the cloud filled sky from my hammock & thinking about how nice heaven must be.

Thank you all so much for your hugs, prayers, etc.
My Brother's kids are doing as well as can be expected. They talk about their Daddy everyday....always in such a fun positive way. They say little funny things that my Brother always would say. My Nephew is a spitting image of my Brother at his age...which worries me a little. I'm hoping he doesn't go down the road that my Brother did. Overall both kids are just the best. My DH & I are looking forward to this summer...we promised them a week w/us

I am so sorry for all of your losses....it's not easy to lose so many people in such a small amount of time. Please know you are in my thoughts and i hope this year is going much better for you.
