Re: Need suggestions on where to go
Not the US, but you don't need a passport. Puerto Rico.
ETA: St.Marteen I also believe you don't need a passport for.

I have a passport. I am just scared to leave the US since I will be far along in my pregnancy.

Re: Need suggestions on where to go
I'd say the Florida Keys or Miami.
Vegas is actually kinda cool in Jan... like in the 50's and 30's at night. I was there a few years ago in March and it was freezing at night.

Yes, come to San Diego!
Sedona is nice too. It won't be quite as warm as some of the other places mentioned, but the temps would still be very comfortable.

Re: Need suggestions on where to go
We're thinking of a "babymoon" around that time and are considering Sedona, AZ.
It looks so serene and there are a ton of spas...and it's a short (2hrs?) drive to the Grand Canyon.

Re: Need suggestions on where to go
I just got back from Sedona for a week and it was great. We went to the Grand Canyon (about 2 hours) and the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, there is a Meteor Crater (expensive) and amazing Native American Ruins all over the place.
We stayed at a time share, the Sunterra Golf Resort, it was very nice.
The restaurants are fabulous, and there are so many choices of different kinds of food. We went for our one year anniversary loved it!!
Very inexpensive too, you can fly Southwest to Pheonix and it's only 2 hours to Sedona!
HTH!!

Re: Need suggestions on where to go
Not to disappoint you, but living here I know... Vegas is far from warm in January or February... I actually left my winter coat when I went home for the baby shower, and I'm waiting for it to come through my door any day now!!!!!!!!!
I hate that it gets so cold here during the winter....

St. Thomas! It's a short flight (3 - 3 1/2 hrs.) and you can get a direct.

Re: Need suggestions on where to go
We just did a 5 day trip to Sedona and Grand Canyon too....It was wonderful!!
If you haven't been, fly Southwest out of Islip and go! We stayed at an amazing little B&B, Grace's Secret Garden, in Sedona. At the Grand Canyon we stayed in a lodge in the park, right on the rim. Deep slept outside out window!
