Where did you register?

And which place had a better selection, was more helpful in your opinion?

I registered at Buy Buy Baby & Babies R Us.
The staff was very helpful in both places actually.
Then again, I was always there on weekday mornings, the weekends can be chaotic in those places!

Re: Where did you register?

Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us. The stroller and bedding we wanted, Babies R us didn't have. I found the staff at BBB more helpful, BRU wasn't much help. Both have a nice selection of items, except BRU had about 7 strollers, BBB had a TON. BBB also has a better selection of bedding. Hope this helps.

Buy Buy Baby for things I wanted with a good pattern (since they seemed to have a better selectioN).

Babies R Us for all of the basics.

BRU online registry site is far superior than BBB.

I thought BBB was more helpful. BRU you needed to ask for help and then they were very helpful. BBB offered their help in every department.

If you haven't picked up the book, Baby Bargains, I'd strongly suggest getting the updated copy. It was definitely worth it.

Moe just be careful with BRU's return policy. I didn't realize that your registry returns are only valid for 3 months from the time you REGISTER not from when they are purchased. Make sure they are clear with you when you register if you do.

Really? I had no problems, I registered in Nov, my shower was in January and I returned things with no problem when we moved home from Ireland in June.

I'm surprised to - in fact my sister returned things 6-8 months later & I had no problem with the returns. This can't be the case -

Ok I've looked it up - here's their policy -it's 3mos from date of purchase:

Thanks for clearing this up. I was a little concerned because I registered at BRU.
