I need to find a new obgyn fast and Im having such a hard time choosing one!

Have you used her?
I am looking for feedback on whythese drs are great. My friend recommended me to my obgyn now and she said she was thorough and a very good dr and they have done nothng but mess up my chart, send me for things on the wrong day etc.
Im so afraid of not finding a good dr.

I used Lockhart once and wasn't thrilled. Actually the whole South Bay office seemed like a zoo to me. I waited for two hours in the waiting area and an hour in the examining room, almost every time I went.
If you want to go to South Bay, I have heard great things about Dr. Lester. My mom's friends have used her.

Wow...I am surprised with your experience at Southbay. IMO, they are very well organized and the wait is way less than other offices I have been to. Once I was put in the exam room,,I turned on the TV while I was waiting for Dr Scwartz, watching "Bringing home Baby" (hahaha) and by the first commercial she was in to see me.
She sat with me and answered every single question I had. We discussed TTC and I told her that it was my first month using the CBM. She asked if I understood the monitor and then I told her that I had 3 bars as of that morning and she told me to BD every other day and once the monitor showed 3 bars with the little egg, to BD every day (up to 2 days). I felt comfortable that she KNEW what the CBM was. Everytime I see her, she always asks what is new..do I have any new concerns etc. I have total faith in her and I know that if Dh and I have a hard time TTC (which she told me that she expects to see me in her office in 6 weeks with great news) that she will stear me in the right direction. She is confident and by that I am confident with her knowledge.

Maybe they have gotten better. I stopped going there last year and followed my current gyno from there to her new practice (I had one visit with Lockhart and then I decided to track down my old doctor who admitted to having left South Bay because they overbooked her and other doctors who also left)
Maybe they listened to complaints or got some new staff.
Sorry to have taken this thread off track!

my sister went to the southbay group when she was pg. I was with her at a few of her visits, and i didnt mind the wait, but the pregnant ladies did. But the dr.'s seemed very nice, knowledgeable, and concerned (when nec.) she was high risk at the end of the pg. I think it was dr. lockhart that delivered my nephew and i was in the room with her the whole time- and i thought she was very nice.
I am thinking of switching to that office for my next pg, i also really like good sam.

I went to SouthBay Ob/Gyn and had a few procedures done. I saw Dr. Amirata who was ok, but had zero personality. I didn't like the wait or the way the office is run. I had a horrible experience with their accounting dept. that ended up affecting my perfect credit score.
I now go to Comprehensive Ob/Gyn, also in West Islip. I see Dr. Ketcham who is a pet, but my sister saw all 3 in the practice when she had her last daughter and they are all excellent.
