I usually make 8-10 different kinds... most of them the same from year to year... I am looking to change it up a little this year... what kinds of cookies do you make? Give me some new ideas! :)

Usually make:
Rainbow (still making those!)
Chocolate Chip or M&M (still making those)
Chocolate Chip Shortbread logs
Lemon Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies
Coconut Cookies
and more!

My mom and I make butter cookies together every year. She has an old electric cookie press that works great, and we use that. So much fun!

How do you store all of those?
And, are rainbow cookies really difficult to make?

You obviously don't have a toddler and work full time. I wish I had the time to make lots of cookies!

well i ahev 2 stpe children that basically live with us & I do work full time.. I start the day after thanks giving & do em every night..

I store them in those large storage bins, its actually the ones that i keep my ornaments in & then once the tree goes up i have the bins for them . I just lay them in between tissue paper, I find that if you store them in metal bins or aluminum tins they get hard

etd to say that the rainbow are actually the easiest that i make

Re: What types of Christmas cookies do you make?

My cousin and I make strufoli together. Then I make sugar cookies (I only use 1 cutter which is the tree, makes it a little easier. I also make oatmeal choc chip, pecan pie squares, peanut butter blossoms (with hershey kisses), toffee and usually 1 or 2 other varieties

Re: What types of Christmas cookies do you make?

So far this year--nothing! I sually make shortbread ( the easiest thing ever) & spritz cookies ( in a cookie press) if I have the energy.

I want to make the rainbow cookies, but I think I'm the only one in my family who likes them!
