So glad it is working out for you.
You would be surprised that the ones you think wouldnt be supportive are the most supportive. My supervisors know it could be less than a days notice regarding IUIs, sonograms, treatments of any kind. They know I leave piles of work for my assistant in the event that I am not going to be in or late. The more up front you are, the happier they are and the more they support you.
