Any hot new books you recommend. Being a children's librarian I am up on the new children's books but I am not as current on the adult books.

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. VERY long and involved but a good read.

Hi Booklady - if you don't mind could you recommend some good books for an 19 month old boy? Sorry to butt in on your post.
Thanks

I really love it!!!!! It's closer to home, which was my big concern, but there's no rush of kids after school!!!!! It was 4:30 and I wasn't yelling at anyone to sit down, stop fighting, no eating or drinking, no running, etc!!!!
The system is not centralized, so each library is responsibile for everything. They also have residency requirements for certain things like best seller, video, etc. I'm familiar in some thing, but need to learn a lot more.
Hope all is well at the CLS (formerly ESD)!!!! (glad I'm gone.....who can remember all the new initials!!!!!)
