i always thought that sarah with an "h" was a jewish spelling of the name, am i pulling this out of my butt or is there some truth to that?

It isn't necessarily Jewish, more Biblical in spelling.
I agree about the "h" though, seems more finished!

Oh my god...this is crazy!
My mom's name is Sara Fay! We have never known another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Her relatives from northern NY always call her "SaFay" because they say it so fast.
What a small world!
