Those who have had a m/c before and are now pregnant.
Did you ever get over the fear that something is going to go wrong at any moment. I had two m/c's and every way I turn, lay, move makes me nervous. I am so exausted because I spend most of the night worrying about the way I'm sleeping. I'm so upset beacuse I feel like I can't be excited. I know I probably sound crazy right? Thanks for letting me vent alittle.

My fear will always be there until I hold this baby. M/C's take that innocence away from pregnancy that we all should have. But I wanted to let you know I'm there with ya.

I can totally relate. I worry at times, but I try not to because I know it is not good for the baby. Now that I am feeling him move, if I don't for like an hr or so I start getting worried but I try to remind myself that he is probably just sleeping. Try to enjoy your pregnancy, I know easier said than done.

I had Emma with no worries of a M/C... talk about ignorance!!! Then I did have a M/C... got pregnant with Jeremy and was CONSTANTLY checking if I was bleeding till the day he was born. 10 months of worrying even though I knew he was healthy.

it's always there...and I'm sure it will be with future PG. Until she's here and healthy and I can SEE and KNOW that she's healthy...going to the dr and them saying she is doing well works.
Also...sleeping on your side doesn't really have an impact till after about 20 weeks or so

Re: Those who have had a m/c before and are now pregnant.
I was a mess for the 1st trimester especially since I got pg immediately after my m/c without an AF.
I eased my mind/body/spirit by the wonderful support I recieved here, and by thanking god everyday for giving just one more day with my little munchkin. The hardest time for me was the anniversary of when I m/c'd.
I took it one day at a time, then the days turned into weeks, and the next thing I knew it I was out of the 1st trimester. I didn't read any articles or statistics, go on any pregnancy websites, or read any pg books. They all made it worse. My dr reassured me so many times that I didn't nothing to cause the m/c, no matter what I ate, drank, slept and my prob for this pg to stick was in my favor.
I know I will never forget my angel in heaven, and even with additional pg's after this one, I will always worry if it will "stick". After you have a m/c you lose that blissful ignorance that you get pg, then in 9 months have a baby in your arms.
From time to time I still worry, which i why from about 8 weeks, I have been religiously using my doppler to hear the heartbeat, whenever I worry, i hear that little heart, and I am fine for awhile. Now at 19 weeks, my munchkin doesn't like the doppler and i feel so bad using it.
Please FM me if you need anything, It will get easier, just take it one day at a time.
Sorry soo long...

Re: Those who have had a m/c before and are now pregnant.
I had one healthy pregnancy - he is now 3 years old. I then M/C identical twins. this pregnancy is actually a very good one health wise except I am CONSTANTLY worried. I check for blood everyday and if I dont feel movement for a bit I totally panic - I even went to Winthrop yesterday because movement was not what it normally was - needless to say all is just fine. I am just being crazy. I just want this pregnancy to be over with because I am always so scared. dont worry

I never had one and I still worried in the beg and I worry now and I am 29 weeks, just try to do your best. It is hard getting thru just pregnancy w/o the fear of losing it.

Re: Those who have had a m/c before and are now pregnant.
Thanks everybody. I'm just taking one day at a time. Hopefully this is my time and everything will be fine. I will feel a little better when I go for my second blood test on Monday and see if my HCG level has gone up.

Re: Those who have had a m/c before and are now pregnant.
I know exactly what you mean. I had a m/c at 6 weeks and am now at 13. I worry ALL the time. It is just horrible. I got on the scale yesterday and it said that I lost 3.5 pounds!!! I ran in the bedroom and was hysterical to 'DH! Every twenty minutes I kept going back on and it wentr up a pound each time. I went to dr. today for pre-scheduled visit and I heard the heartbeat so I am fine but I was petrified! so in other words yes, the innocence has been lost but on the other hand we know to be realistic but we have to try very hard not to drive ourselves nuts!!!
