Re: getting ready to register ?
I love my side by side stroller the Peg perego aria. But of course the double snap and go is the way to go. We had two of everything, bouncy seats, exersaucers, playmats, bumbo (used maybe a handful of times) , lots of bottles, two swings. I could live w/o my bouncy seats, I loved them. Good luck, registrying is fun.

Re: getting ready to register ?
My absolute must haves are:
double snap and go two bouncy seats (my kids were not into the swing... only kids I know who weren't) two boppies two playmats (I think AlohaMa had an extra large twin playmat that she posted once)
lots of bottles (you'll probably need at least 16 in the beginning to get you through a 24 hour period) but just be careful don't register for too many of one bottle, some DC's do better on one bottle vs. another. I wouldn't bother with anything less than 8 oz. size they are only on 2 oz and 4 oz. for such a short amount of time. You can always put 4 oz in the 8 oz. bottle.
lots and lots and lots of bibs and burp clothes. I'd get the cloth diaper kind, the other pads are stiff and would always fall off my shoulder.
Double skip hop diaper bag. I couldn't live w/ anything smaller.
We had two travel swings to save some room, plus it's so easy to fold them up and take them with you to grandma's etc.
I had two exersaucers (different ones) but only had one out at a time. I'd rotate them btwn playmat, exersaucer, etc. I mostly used one but it is nice to have two.
One more tip that might be helpful for the early days. My kitchen is downstairs and across the house from the nursery. For those overnight feedings we made all of the bottles (9, 12, 3, 6 am feedings) a head of time and placed them in a cooler in the nursery. Trust me, when they wake up they are HUNGRY and they want that bottle as fast as possible. It definitely helped cut down the time it took to get it ready.
I have the double snap and go. I think it handles better than the used side by side MacLaren that I got. The downside, it is heavier and this week my DS (who sits in the back) started getting very interested in DD's hair and yanked it while we were out the other day (Oh, good times...lol). Some girls swear by the side by side and some swear by the front back, they both have pluses and minuses to them.
HTH.
Have fun and don't forget to ask about the twins' discount.

Re: getting ready to register ?
I didnt get 2 playgyms...they loved being under it together I had 2 boppies 2 swings..LIFE SAVER 2 infant to Toddler rockers I got 1 excersuacer and one walker and alternated them. I had a double snap and go which was GREAT. I have the duoglider (front to back) which has its ups and dowsn. The only thing I dont like is that the one sitting in the back kicks the one in the front, but it is MUCH easier to move around in stores and GREAT for walks on the streets. LOTS of bottles Have fun

Re: getting ready to register ?
Swings Infant to Toddler rockers (more versatile than bouncy seats yet have similar features). Snap n go while they are in the infant carriers. Mountain Buggy stroller - love it. When possible, I got the same item, different variation, ie, different exersaucers, playgyms. A BIG playmat (like a big colorful blanket w/ mirrors, toys attached) - Edushape had one through Target that my boys LOVED. It creates a big, open, clean space that you can transport when you're visiting friends/relatives. HTH - I know it's totally overwhelming the first time you register so take it all in stride and good luck!

Re: getting ready to register ?
Besides what everyone else mentioned, I would say register for a bottle bag. The diaper bags only come with 1 bottle holder, and there is never enough room in the diaper bag for 2 bottles and 2 sets of food, etc.
Also, I got 2 travel high chairs (that attach to any chairs) - and they definitely the most needed items! If you are going to a friend's house and the babies need to eat (more for when they are on solids), you just plop them in a chair or on the floor and they can eat in there.

Re: getting ready to register ?
I had two swings, one boppy, one playmat, 2 bounceys, 2 high chairs, one pack and play which we used fro them downstairs and still use for diaper changes.
I did not register for a exesaucer or jumperoo, since I knew they would not need them until after Xmas time and didn't want to get stuff that I needed down the road I wanted stuff for the beginning more.
I also didn't register for big car seats either since I knew I would have a while to get those since twins on average stay in the carriers longer since they are not born as big.
Lots of bottles, my boys were on different formulas so I found having two different sets was great, so there was no confusion as to who it was for.
I also got the duoglider which I heard that the newwed one is lighter then the older one, and I really liked it. It was big, but we liked it.
If I had to do it over again I would have gotten the double snap and go, but I thought I would not use it that long, but in actuality I would have used it for 9 months.

I have 2 set up in my kitchen, and I have 2 that I keep in the back of my car at all times. I can't tell you how many times I have used them! They have the tray attached too, so you can put books, toys, food, etc. and not have to worry about germs on restaurant tables. They're really great, as I mentioned, if you are going to someone's house who doesn't have kids or has only 1 high chair, you can still feed them at the same time.

Re: getting ready to register ?
I also LOVE my snap and go! It is getting a bit heavy now, but I loved looking at the babies and watching them smile!
I just bought a double jogger and love it! The downside is that it is really big and takes up a lot of space in the trunk, so for traveling we have a Peg Perego Twin Aria as well!
I would have register for the Joanna Cole inserts for the car seats. Since the babies were a little bit smaller, they needed extra support.
I have only 1 swing, excersaucer, & playmat. We rotate throughout the day (I also live in an apt)
I do LOVE my infant to toddler rockers! The babies love them!
I have 20 six ounce bottles. This so necessary during the beginning because they were only drinking 2 ounces every 2 hours. This saved time!
Lots of burp clothes, bibs, and washclothes!
Have fun! I loved registering!

Yes, even with the babies in them. but I'll tell you as they grow, they do get heavier but that's not until 6 months plus... Just worry about 0-3 months for now
