Traveling Hypothetical

Not really hypo but sorta - Say you were traveling with your family. Your Mom, Your Brother, Your IL's. 8 adults, 4 couples.

Say you were going for 10 days. Getting 2 different condo units each with 2 bedrooms. You are sharing a condo with the inlaws but they can only stay for 7 of those days because one of them had to work and can't take off.

Would you split everything down the middle, would you figure out the cost of everything and break down the cost per day and have them pay their share? Would you break down the room cost (the highest cost) and have them pay their nights but share everything else (car, food etc) equally??

Also, they did none of the planning, booking, etc. They are basically along for the ride.

It depends on how well off they are. I think I would offer to break it down per night (everything) and then see if they say "no, no, i insist on paying equally!" then take them up on it...but i would definitely offer to break everything down per night first.
