does anyone know how long it will take for a hardcover book that was released on July '07 to be published in paperback?

It's less than a year, about 9 or 10 months. Sometimes Amazon will have the to be published date on their website.

thanks so much!!
Im about 1/2 way though the 6 book of Harry Potter and do not want to buy the hardcover because the rest I have read are softcovers and I want to have the whole collection!!
I might have to borrow this from the library!!
