I need some help...LONG

A friend of mine told me yesterday that the RE we go to is quitting her practice and will no longer be doing gyn or infertility work as of Jan 31st. I am really very upset about this because I hesitated for a while to select a doctor and to come to the realization that I needed to do all this testing.

I feel like I am starting all over again. Does anyone know if I have to re-take any of the tests I just did a few weeks ago or will a new doctor go by the records from those results? I had cultures, a pap, bw and an HSG (which I don't ever want to repeat).

When I saw the doctor one week ago, she told me to get monitored for my next period which is coming very soon. I called the office today and the nurse told me to call when I get it and come in to get a sonogram. I will O approx by Xmas. They were going to possibly IUI if I O before Xmas.

Should I do this and then in January start looking for a new doc? Or do I just go to another doctor now? I am really at a loss because I felt like I was making some progress and we were going to be doing the IUI's soon. Plus being that I just had the HSG they say that there is a better possibility of getting pregnant.

Any advice you all have will be helpful. I really appreciate the support.

Your medical records will follow you and they won't make you repeat any tests unless it necessary because of the results of the past test.

I would continue with your current RE and try and get the IUI done. Think positive, you might not need to find a new RE.

Thanks for your response. I've decided to hold off on going to this doctor since she cannot follow through with anything after January. I am searching for a new RE. Someone local to where I work since that is easiest for me. I work in Melvile. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd love to hear them. Thanks so much.
