LL Weans closing
How come I didn't know about this? They're closing for good on Sunday!!

oh my gosh! I'm no longer a Long Islander but I'm so sad about this!! If I were a teacher on LI I'd have no idea where to go. At least in NJ we have Educational Wearhouse and Bosland's.
Guess I should tell my sis- wonder if she knows.

I got an emial from LLWEENS...(I'm on the mailing list) They are having a 20% off sale today...and 25% off for all perfered customers.
They are also selling book shelves and stuff...

Allan told me that since NCLB sales have gone down steadily for the past 4 yrs b/c teachers don't have time to be creative with all the new mandates... sad....
on a slightly selfish note, I went last night and bought 2 spinning book racks for $15 each!! definite bargain....

That's really sad- they had some great stuff. I remember going there for educational toys and stuff when I was very young and then with my mom to get stuff for her classroom. I was so excited when I finally had a classroom of my own to decorate. Although it was a sign that summer was ending, I enjoyed my yearly pilgrimage there. Now where will I buy my pumpkin stickers etc
