Support Chats/Cancer..

A dear friend of mine has Lymphoma and was just told that her Cancer spead and has to have stronger chemo and a sugery that has to do with her stem cell/bone marrow. (sorry I don;t know all the details...everytime we discusse it....we start to cry.

She is a very strong person, but told me today that she is loosing hope. She is looking for a online chat support group.

Does anyone have a chat that they can recommend?

there are alot of them- I don't want to upset my Dad by asking him (we lost my Mom to Lymphoma)

use goggle and my Mom also saw a thearpist to deal with it- it was helpful to her

I would also call Sloane Kettering and ask them about support groups

I am so sorry for your friend- it's horrible

Try calling Cancer Care, they are both in the city and on LI and may be able to direct you. So, So sorry about your firend

If you want, FM and I will give you my email and that might help get started. The american cancer society has chat boards. There is also an organization called 4th angel that will team up a current cancer patient with a cancer survivor of the same (or similiar) cancer type.

anyone know the name of the webiste where you can leave messgaes with patients?? My friend is at Sloan and was just diagnosed with Leukemia. It is called care "something" ...I believe it is through Sloan.
