Ode to the Pancake
The griddle must be nice and hot,
The butter melts away,
Must pour the batter in the right spot,
What a perfect start to the day.
Fluffy and or nice and thin,
You simple melt in my mouth,
Too much syrup I don't put,
Or else it'll show down south.
Bananas, blueberries, or just plain,
Whichever way they'll do,
Even on a rainy day,
I can't stop eating you.

now speaking of ode to the pancake...did you try the pan from William sonoma that makes pancake balls where you can inject them with filling?????? sinful!!!!!
