Pasta e fagioli
Ive never made this before, and a friend gave me her recipe. Question: is it supposed to look soupy? Her recipe called for 2 quarts of stock, 3 cans of beans, 1 can of tomatoes and only 1/2 a pound of pasta. Its going to look like soup, is this right?

Sure!
2 qts chicken broth 1 cup water 1/2 lb pasta (ditalini or mini rigatoni) 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped parsley 4 tbsp crushed garlic 3 cans cannellini beans (16 oz cans) 1 can diced tomatoes (16 oz can) 6 tbsp olive oil Grated cheese
Put everything in a pot, except for the pasta. Bring it to a boil, then lower to a slow boil for 20 min. Simmer for 15 min, then bring back to a rapid boil. Add the pasta and boil until pasta is cooked. Remove from the stove and let cool. Serve with grated cheese.

not necessarlly. LOL
Ours is more a pasta dish, its not soupy. Most places serve it as a soup dish, but ive had it like we make it more pasta 'e
