United Health Care

Rants/Raves? I am thinking about going on DH's plan bc I am thinking about quitting work. I currently have Oxford Freedom and like it. TIA!

Re: United Health Care

I had it, but ended up switching to DH's because his plan costs us nothing.

It was pretty good. i found that most doctors took it. however, the one doctor i really needed, was not on it, and United realyl covers NOTHING if you go out of network. luckily, my employer offered a supplemental, so i was okay.

the prescription drug plan with them was good... i ordered online and saved a ton of money.

i have it and am happy with it.

The rx's and copays seem to go up every year and can be on the pricey side but they have great coverage and a good selection of Dr's in the plan.

We actually switched from my plan BC/BS to United Health Care (my Dh's plan) - They are pretty much the same (although I'm sure it also depends on the plan).
I have found that most dr's accept it, the co pays have been a little less, and no deductibles at the pharmacy.

It really depends on the group plan your DH has. We had them as a PPO and it was great, no problems at all. We have BCBS now and I do like them a bit better.
