Worries...

Now that the excitement has settled down a bit…the worries are coming in. Worries about giving birth, taking care of a newborn and raising a child. I’m a little scared. Is it normal to feel this way?

Re: Worries...

yes it's totally normal! welcome to motherhood!!

Now that I had the baby - I worry about other things..I think being a mom is signing up for a lifetime of worry.

That being said - it's also the most amazing feeling in the whole wide world. And to tell you the truth - I am sure we worry more than we should.

Trust yourself - you will be a great mom - it does come pretty naturally.

Re: Worries...

I have been worried from the second I got pg until now!!!

But like my mom says- worrying is a waste of time because if something bad is going to happen, it is not going to be something you worried about, it will be something you never even thought of.

I think that goes with the process of getting preggo.. We weren't trying so it was a wonderful surprise but when it finally set in about being a mother I was freaking out, and now at almost 34 weeks I am freaking out about Labor but I think once I hit 36 weeks I am going to just want this baby out so I can meet her..

Re: Worries...

That's what they told me when I was planning my wedding. They would always say "don't worry about things going wrong, if they do then it's things that are out of your control". I always tell people that are engaged to not to worry about things going wrong at their wedding day and to enjoy the moment cuz that day will fly by so quickly.

I guess the same goes for motherhood cuz kids grow up so quickly...I see that with my nieces and nephews.

Re: Worries...

ABSOLUTELY... I was absolutely terrified when it all sunk in... terrified of labor, terrified of the delivery, terrified of being a mom. It's so normal to feel that way... that's what will make you a great mommy! Trust yourself... when the time comes, your instincts will kick into high gear, I promise Chat Icon

Re: Worries...

I still have my worries but it has been very comforting talking to you ladies and appreciate it a lot...

Of course there's your own mom to turn to for advice. I'm so glad she is next door.
