People keep asking me...
If I "feel" like I am going to have the baby soon/ do I feel different...I am a first time mom- what do I know about what to expect. I mean, I know the "signs of labor" but my body has felt "different" for the last 9 MONTHS!!!

Re: People keep asking me...
I didn't know it at the time but for the first time, I was feeling a ton of pressure followed by shooting pain in my groin area for a few weeks before (sorry - tmi). When I was walking it felt like the baby would just fall out. It never worked that way though - it took about 14 hours & about an hour of pushing. I should mention that he was born at 34.5 weeks.
The second time nothing -the only sign of being ready was full on contractions and my gut feeling that I just wanted to go to the hospital - even thought I was figuring on about a 6 more hours of labor. It's true about gut feelings - she was born 7 minutes after we got there.

Thanks for posting this. I have been getting shooting pain in my grion for the past week - this may explain that.
I love when people ask if I have had any contractions - as a first time mom and I am really not sure since I have never done this before.
