I was in Italy last week and feeling a little homesick. I was watching CNN in the hotel room and saw the burning of the US Embassy in Kosovo and got frightened. I wanted to call my Mom.

Our hotel phone had a tag on it that said make your international calls from your hotel. Just dial 99, enter your CC# and then dial the number you want to call.

So I tried calling my Mom, but no one answered. There was no connection. I got on the phone with an operator and he said he would stay on the line until there was an answer, no one answered. OK.

Today I check my bank statement and there are NINE charges from this company. 4 charges at 10 dollars each, one for a dollar and 4 for around 35-40 dollars.

The funny part is, I only found out because shutterfly denied my $2.77 charge for pictures and when I called my bank, they said there looked like there was suspicious activity on my account.

I did a search for BBG communications and found out that they are huge scam artists. I located a number for them and the customer rep. sounded like a teenager with an attitude. He said that because an operator helped me make the call, it means it went through. I said, how many calls do you have me recorded making? He said three. I yelled "Then why do I have NINE charges from your company???" He babbled and said there was nothing he could do and to call my credit card company.

WaMu said that since the charges were still pending, they couldn't do anything about them yet, but once they officially hit my account to call their fraud number directly and I can file a claim.

I know it was naive of me to trust something like that, but because it was posted on what was supposed t be my 4 star hotel room phone, I trusted it. Never again.

Just wanted to warn y'all. And vent it out.
