from what i've read, i believe most people register around 20 weeks or after...

I registered after my 20 week sonogram. I wanted to make sure everything was ok with the baby and I wanted to make sure of the sex...

I started registering at 14 weeks, It was sooo exhausting!! Now at 20 weeks, I am going to add some gender specific things...

I registered at 26 weeks I wanted to make sure everything was alright with the baby and of course know the sex of the baby....

I'm 28 weeks and still haven't gone... i think i will soon in the next week or so...there is no set time.

I've learned the longer you wait the easier it is(with things that discontinue etc) especially this time of year when all the new lines are coming out. I'd say wait until at least 25 weeks
