Is there a stomach virus going around?

I was SO sick yesterday. I was vomiting a lot and I pulled myself together to go to school last night but on the way home I puked on myself in the car (I didn't have time to pull over and was afraid to hang my head out the window and crash my car).

Anybody know if there is a bug or did I just have an off day?

i believe so. one of my nephews was throwing up at school last week and was sent home and then my other nephew caught whatever he had and now he's sick too!

my mom was diagnosed with the flu yesterday and home in bed and was put on 5 days bed rest by her doc. and now my dad is feeling the symptoms too.

this time of year is just terrible!

Yes! My kids have had it twice (all 3 of them ) Best bet keep away from dairy for a few days.

Wow, I didn't even realize the health board was for stuff like this. I thought the health board was all about dealing with serious illnesses.

yes, there definitely is. My dd had it the other day and I know LOTS of other kids/adults have had it recently too.

I'm trying to figure out if this is what I have as well. I was sooo sick the other night and so was my Mom, who came over for dinner. We were both up vomiting all night amonst other things. I missed 2 days of work. We also had shrimp that night so my first thought was food poisoning. But I am still so weak and achey, so I don't know. I've been keeping my DS at a distance though and having DH take care of him just in case. I know it would be so much worse if DS got it - he is only 13 months old.

YES...my mom had it last weekk...Honestly my mom is a nurse in a hospital and a school and says that there is always some sort of stomach virus (s) going around

Yup- I was so sick 2 weeks ago. It's going around the office.

OMG yes!!! I had it two weeks ago, DD just had it and DH had it two days ago as well.
I work in a school and everyone there seems to be sick too.

Yes! Monday I thought I was going to die! Couldn't stop throwing up, and when I did, I came down with a terrible fever. Chills, shaking. it was awful. 24 hours later, it was gone. My appetite seems to be coming back slowly, but I'm not complaining about that.
