question about Ellenville,NY
My husband and i are going to a log cabin in ellenville,ny for the weekend. I was wondering if anyone has any info on things to do there or places to eat. Any info would be great..TIA

Where are you going? My cousins have a resort up there.
There aren't too many restaurants in Ellenville. The Nevele has one, but I haven't been there in years.

That's where I went to sleepaway camp!!
I think there are outlets nearby. And I remember as a kid, we all used to get very excited about an ice cream place called Custards Last Stand-- not that that helps you too much.

oooooooooooo I went to college around there..
You have to go into New Paltz and see the the stone houses. It is the oldest inhabited street in America.
The town is also adorbale with a lot of really cute shops and places to eat.
The Mohonk Mountain House is very close to Ellenville, and they have a lot of great hiking trails and some rock climbing...
Also close by is Lake Minnewaska State Park
beautiful waterfalls... (I used to get s*oned up there as a college kid....lol)
It's a BEAUTIFUL area...
