Advil or Aleve?
I'm sure I'm posting this on the wrong board, but I'm heading to the drug store and needed quick answers.
I need to get a muscle relaxer AND anti inflammatory for FI's pinched nerve. Is Adil or Aleve better? Or is there something better I should get? He thinks the dr. said to take Advil-but he's in a lot of pain and I want to get him the best otc drug I can.

I always prefer Aleve.
Advil never does it for me. All it does is make me pee!

aleve...i just took 2 for pain i had, and i swear by it for mostly everything..it's also a great anti-inflammatory, and even better pain medicine...good luck!

I would take what the doctor recommended.
Aleve does nothing for me. Try the Advil first. If that doesn't work, then call the doc and ask if he can take Aleve.

Advil, but I would call the doc for some real muscle relaxers.
Aleve or Naprosyn doesn't sit well with me.

What is Aleve?
Aleve is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Aleve works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Aleve is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by conditions such as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, gout, or menstrual cramps.

I prefer Advil, DH prefers Aleve. according to what I just posted above, they're both anti-inflammatories. only a Doctor can prescribe a muscle relaxer.
