Marco Island
Anyone know anything about Marco Island? What is there to do there? Anything for children?
Is it like Sanibel or Captiva? Thanks!

I don't know specifics but I have a friend who has a family condo down there and is absolutely in love with Marco Island! She and her family go like 2x a year. Dh and I may be going in April - I can find out things for you to do if you'd like, I'll ask her today.

I spoke to my friend - she said the only real thing to do there is go to the beach and go to eat - its very relaxing but not much to do. There is one bar in town everyone goes to to get drunk, but since you have a child, you may not even do that. So its pretty and relaxing but outside of the beach not much else to do there. HTH!

OOOhhh - I love Marco Island. DH and I were there in July 2003 and had a great time. Like the person above said - it's mostly beach and pool while you're there. You can go into Naples - but we did that for restaurants. If the kiddies enjoy the beach then you should have a good time because the Gulf is very calm and a lot more enjoyable for them.

My parents go there a lot, an easy get away...my mom booked a March trip for dad's christmas gift. They love it!!

I just found out we are staying here:
Radisson Beach Suite Resort
so we are nice and close to the beach and have the pool
Beach - pool - food - drink can't ask for more!

I've been to Captiva. It's gorgeous, but I think it may have been affected by the hurricanes???
