I'm new here
Well my dh and I finally talked and decided to to start trying effective this week!! 
I'm a bit nervous because I had some surgery on one of my ovaries about 10 years ago and I've been told that I'm a high risk pregnancy - in the sense that I may not be able to get pregnant and if I can I may not be able to carry full term or be ectopic. So I'm going into this with a great deal of anxiety. Has anyone else had this experience?
Also - I'm so confused with all the abbreviations...is there a cheat sheet around!!

There's definitely a thread with abbreviations somewhere on here. You'll catch on in no time. Best of luck to you and Baby Dust! And to answer your question, yes many of us on these boards have a lot of anxiety while TTC for our own reasons. Hope you graduate to the pg board soon!

welcome!!! sending lots of baby dust your way in 2006!!  i was also told by my old gyn that i would prob. never get pregnant, but i have been pregnant 2x so far ( a 3 year old and a m/c) so be positive!

Welcome!! At the top of the page there is a lingo link which gives you the main abbreviations.
Some others we use:
TBAF - That B!tch Aunt Flo
POAS - Pee on a Stick
FMU - First Morning Urine
Stay Away Aunt Flo Cha Cha - the dance we do during the 2WW (2 Week Wait)
BD - can be Baby Dance or Baby Dust
