Leaving for the Domeincan Republic this weekend
any suggestions as to what to see or do their? We have never been there so any advice would be great.

I've been there twice and never left the resort  no need to really with all of the food and drinks.
Just go and relax!

The only thing we did was the Quads excursions. It was a lot of fun. But we also had a great time just staying at the resort (Excellence Punta Cana).

i ate like a slob. the food was delicious in DR.
though - i never left the resort and did all excurisions through the resort.

When we went to Punta Cana of few yeara ago. We rented ATV's. The tour was bout 4 hours. All on the beach. You got to see alot of the Island. We also went to an Manati Park A zoo of sorts. We were alble to swim with Dolphins there. They have a large pool with 3 or 4 Dolphins. That was amazing.

we went to Santo Domingo but it is a long bus ride, around 3 hours... it was worth it for us cause we love history and Santo Domingo has some great architecture to see... it just depends what you are interested in

We did that and we loved it. We only took one (I stayed the back while DH was "in control").
I took videos and pics.

A few of us on this site stayed at Excellence Punta Cana (at seperate times)
DH&I were just there in Jan. and loved it! It was beautiful, the food was delicious and they had entertainment every night. Along with daily activites.
