What should I do?
I received a call last Tuesday from a place I would LOVE to work for. I had a very good conversation with the lady that lasted almost 15 minutes. She said she was going to pass my info onto her hiring manager. I asked her when I should expect to hear back from her and she said "Possibly by the end of the week". WELL yesterday was a week since I heard from her, the end of the week and the beginning of the next came and went. 
My question is, should I call tomorrow (9 days later) and ask what is the status and if so what should I say? At this point I feel I have nothing to lose. It's obvious that the hiring manager saw something in me that she did not think I would be a good fit but I just want to have some closure you know what I mean?

you have nothing to lose by calling, i def. would...just say u wanted to follow up b/c u were very interested in the position..

Thank you! I just needed some reassurance. I am fully expecting her to tell me how much I su ck but I am 99% sure I am going to take the chance!

u dont suck!!! let us know what they said...i think with the holidays last week and how crazy companies r--they never realize potential employees r waiting for that phone to ring so badly..

I called 3 times today and there was no answer. I did not leave a message. I was hoping her voicemail said she went to China for 2 weeks 
I will try again tomorrow but Friday is my busiest day at work so I might not be able to. I will def keep trying on Monday and until I finally reach her.

I would keep calling until u get her on the phone--dont leave a vm, b/c then it is back in their court. goodluck!! hope u get to call today :)

Update - I finally got in touch with her on Friday. She told me that the hiring manager was out for a week (there I went jumping to conclusions!) and she had just given my resume to her when she got back. She expects to call me to set something up to come in hopefully this week...but thats what she said the last time! Oh well I am glad I checked in, she seemed very nice and receptive so I guess we'll see. She promised she did not forget about me. I was just shocked that I did not hear back right away because I applied for the job one night and they called me the next day. Nowwwww they are dragging this part out!
