do you think this is ok or no?
Do you think that bowling is safe in the first trimester? Or would you not take the chance?

I wouldnt take the chance. I wanted to bowl too but didn't. You also shouldnt be doing any heavy lifting or carrying.

I think it is fine, I have friends who continues to run 3 miles 3/week for the first 2 trimesters. Just pick a light ball.

Yes, I agree. You need to take care of yourself.

True, but I carried my toddlers who weighed 28 and 36 lbs through out my last pregnancy, when I asked my doc if it was OK, he said, of course. Exercise is great for you in the first 2 trimesters, bowling is like light cardio and light weight training. go have fun!!

Re: do you think this is ok or no?
I've been bowling with a 10 pound ball my whole pregnancy so far. My doctor said it was okay since I've been bowling for years. If it's something new for your body, it's not a good idea. He also said that I can continue as long as I have my balance.

Re: do you think this is ok or no?
As long as you are used to carrying 10 lbs it's not a problem. It's when you start lifitng things heavier than you normally do that you might run into a problem.

I did but I also used a really small ball, in fact I didn't even think about it, but you may want to ask, if I did think I probably would have asked...

Re: do you think this is ok or no?
I bowled at the end of my 1st, just choose a light ball and stop if you feel any discomfort whatsoever. Maybe reconsider bowling after the 1st, since you will be bigger and your center of gravity is off-you could lose your balance

Re: do you think this is ok or no?
I would think as long as you feel ok, then it's ok. I've never heard that lifting heavy objects was dangerous when you were pregnant.
