Over the counter sleep aids
What do you use Dh has been having truoble sleeping lately. He went for his physical this morning but the doctor was sort of rude to him and told him to do yoga, relaxation, etc. He told him he diesnt give out sleep medication because its addicting We tried a few over the counters - target brand, etc but nothing seems to work He gets up and down and tosses and turns. Im 5 months pregnant so he wakes me up and make me cranky ANy suggestions on something that is non habit forming and works well?

Re: Over the counter sleep aids
I either take tylenol PM or simply sleep - which is also made by tylenol.

I use Simply Sleep too. It's Tylenol PM without the Tylenol in it.
It's ok. I still have trouble falling asleep some nights. And some nights I still wake up and can't go back to sleep. BUt it helps and is better than nothing.

Re: Over the counter sleep aids
try melatonin . it nwo comes in 5 mg helps reset the natural sleep wake cycle (its in the vitamin aisle) i used to take that and 4 tylonol pm it would get me to sleep.. but i have chronic insomnia.. so thats my solutino when my doc wants to take me off my lunesta , ambien or xanax whatever im on at the moment i have no medical problem just can't sleep minds always running.. his minds prolly going a million miles an hour with you being preggers... the doc should realize its situational not a life long thing.. id have him go back and get something if i was you for your own peace but whatever works.. some docs hate perscribed ones.. others just feel you need to change it up

Sometimes. I can only take them if it's like 9 hours before I have to wake up.

Re: Over the counter sleep aids
I take half a Bayer PM. It's been the best and the least groggy wake up.
I was prescribed Ambien after a painful surgery and it really didn't work for me. Gave me terrible nightmares.
