My back is so bad, I cant take it anymore!!!!!!!
Did anyone have severe back pain in the first trimester? I have always had a bad back and sciatica but I guess whenever it started to hurt, I would take a motrin and that would be it. For about 5 days straight now though, my back has been HORRENDOUS. I almost went to the hospital last night. Nothing helps, not heat, a massage, a bath...everything is just temporary. I was hysterical crying. The pain goes all the way into my legs, into my toes and makes them tingle.
Ive heard of back pain further along into the pregnancy but this is ridiculous. My mom says everyone in the first trimester has "their thing" and this must be mine. But I literally cant take it anymore. Did anyone experience this? I mentioned it to my doctor, and she mentioned acupuncture but I am deathly afraid of needles. Did you go through this? Does anyone know what I can do? Does this even sound normal?? Thanks so much in advance.

This did not happen to me - but I was just talking to one of my girlfriends and she heard that it was ok to use - icy hot. I am not 100% sure on this - but maybe ask your doctor.
What about Tylenol?

I have taken tylenol and I feel so bad about it. I didnt want to take anything. And in the end it was so silly of me to take cause it didnt do anything at all. I am just wondering if this is normal, cause its starting to freak me out.

i have always had sciatica on and off and right after i got pregnant it started flaring up. i also thought that it wouldn't be bad until i was further along, but unfortunately it started right away. i guess your uterus is already expanding just enough to put pressure on the nerve. i really haven't found anything that helps much besides rest. i was going to try accupuncture and i've heard from several people that it really works, but so far i've just been dealing with it. feel better!!

Hope you feel better soon. I would tell the dr again. Perhaps they can offer you other ideas to help with the pain.

yes I have had it since the beginning. I'm 22 weeks now and it's still here, some days are better than others. I spoke to my doctor and he said to try a heating pad and tylenol and if that doesn't cut it he can recommend me to a physical therapist that will be able to help me. He said unfortunately being pg you can't take the normal muscle relaxers he would normally prescribe, so physical therapy may be the way to go. good luck!!

I hope you feel better I know back pain ( I have rods in my back) and I wake up everyday thanking god that it hasn't hit me yet I don't what I will do

my doctor recommended thermacare its patches that give you 8 hours of relief, icy hot you rub on where as this is a patch you put on and get instant relief. it comes in different sizes and works great. heres the link to their website
