Nike + Ipod tracker
So this weekend I bought new runnign sneakers since my old ones are literally 4 years old  And I got the Nike Ipod unit which tracks your time/mileage/calories based on weight.
It is amazing!!It turns out that i have been running more than I thought. My weekday running route I thought was 1.5 miles, and I have been repeating one lap of it to make it 2 miles. Turns out, its 2 miles on its own. This is the coolest thing ever!!!
You can even get it to encourage you while you running. There is a power song button, so when you are losing momentum you can have it play the power song you select. Its pretty cool!!
ETA: It only works with the nano. not the regular Ipods.

How cool!!! I really wanted to try this but I refuse to give in to the marketing scheme that is Mac. Maybe one day I will succomb

I got it at a running store, but they have it at a lot of places where the sell Nike sneakers- definitely in Niketown.
Here's a picture of it. Its even cooler than I thought. After your workout, if you sync the Ipod to your computer, it tracks your running- so you can see if you are improving.
You put the little thing on the left in your shoe (there is a place for it in Nike shoes), and the thing on the right you hook up to your ipod while you work out. Nike+Ipod Image Attachment(s):

they've also got one that just came out called the nike sportband. it's the same basic thing, but instead of hooking into your ipod nano you wear a wristband that is a usb stick that tracks all the data. when you get home you pop out the usb, plug it in to your computer and there's all your data from the run! i'm thinking about getting it b/c i don't have a nano.
i also wanted to add that it might be a good idea to map out your route using something like the gmap pedometer just to make sure of the distance. i've heard from some people that their nike+ overestimated the distance until they calibrated it.

I've heard this too...I usually just drive the route after resetting the trip in my car to see what the exact distance is.
