May be tmi
Is or has anyone experienced a phlegm-y (sp?) type throat in the mornings as a pg symptom? This has been driving me crazy bc I feel it's harder to breathe thru the night. I know that a lot of your bodily fluids "loosen" up but am not sure if this is tied to it. Any help is appreciated! TIA!

Re: May be tmi
It is gross, but I have. I also quit smoking so I just attributed it to that. "They" say you can produce more mucus when you pregnant though.

Yup. I used to very rarely get congested or blow my nose, but since getting PG I've been very stuffed up.

Re: May be tmi
I have been congested since I got my BFP, what makes it worse it that my nose has been bleeding since about 10 weeks. It's gross but I can't wait til I have a clear runny nose again.

Re: May be tmi
I have been more congested than normal since I've been pregnant. 1st thing in the AM and when needed through out the day I use saline nasal spray and it does help

Re: May be tmi
I just read about this in my PG book. I read that in pregnancy your body softens its membrains and that your nose is mostly membrains so it softens as well! By softening, it allows for more mucas and such.

Re: May be tmi
Also because all of your bodily fluids are increasing it causes more mucous. Increased blood volume, increased CM, etc. This was one of my only pg symptoms when I got Pg last time

Re: May be tmi
Yes - I thought I was just sick but I've had this for like 4 weeks. Sleeping w/a vaporizer in my room really helps out. The post nasal has gone into my chest and now I have a phlegmy cough as well (wonderful)
